Cirrus Design

Cirrus Design (www.cirrusdesign.com), founded in 1984 and best known for their piston aircraft lineup, enters the VLJ market place with "The-Jet" (www.the-jet.com). Cirrus is now the worlds second largest manufacturer of single-engine, piston aircraft and plans to bring it brand of performance and value to the VLJ industry.

Cirrus plans on a jet in the VLJ class that is simple to fly and easy to operate following in the footsteps of it's piston aircraft success. A single engine personal jet that follows the same philosophy that has help to make Cirrus a leader in aircraft design and manufacturering.

Expected to be powered by a Williams engine The-Jet has only recently been unveiled to a limited degree. Versatility and flexibility are built into The-Jet. This is in no small part due to the fact that the aircraft is being designed around the single pilot concept and as a personal jet. Baggage and mission profiles will be constantly changing. Mountain bikes, camping equipment, golf clubs etc... are all items that may be carried by the individual pilot.

Building off of the success of the Cirrus' SR22 The-Jet is expected to be just as revolutionary, fast and versatile.
